The turbidity sensor uses the principle of NIR absorption to detect suspended solids in liquids. The sensor optics incorporate near-infrared LED light sources and a high-precision photodiode detector. Measuring in the infrared range provides accurate results that are unaffected by changes in product color. The sensor windows can be cleaned during operation using integrated cleaning nozzles, eliminating the need for additional wear parts such as mechanical wipers.

The Model C1 Signal Amplifier is compatible with most optical sensors from the Monitek and Chemtronic product ranges. System programming and calibration are carried out via a PC or laptop using intuitive menu-driven software. Calibration can be performed with one or multiple reference samples. All configuration settings and calibration data can be securely stored on the PC’s hard drive for backup and future use.
The C2 signal converter accurately processes the measurement signals from the AP2 turbidity sensor, making it ideal for monitoring and optimizing industrial processes. Equipped with a TFT graphic display, a configurable 0/4–20 mA analog output, programmable switching outputs, and automatic self-diagnostics, it provides reliable performance for continuous process monitoring in demanding industrial environments.
