The turbidity sensor uses the principle of NIR absorption to accurately measure suspended solids in liquids. The sensor optics integrate an NIR LED light source and a high-precision photodiode detector. By measuring in the near-infrared range, the sensor delivers reliable and highly reproducible results that are largely unaffected by changes in product color. This makes the sensor ideal for demanding applications requiring precise and continuous turbidity monitoring.

The AP2 turbidity sensor is designed for long service life and minimal maintenance. It compensates for variations in product color, ensuring stable and reliable measurement results.

Built for continuous operation, the sensor features a long-life LED light source. High-quality materials such as stainless steel 1.4404 and sapphire measuring windows provide excellent chemical resistance and outstanding mechanical durability.

Thanks to its flexible process connections, freely configurable measuring ranges, and selectable engineering units (AU, ppm, mg/l, EBC, etc.), the AP2 can be adapted to a wide variety of process applications, offering a cost-effective solution for continuous turbidity measurement.
