MoniSpec-C-AT (Triple-Wavelength)

MoniSpec-C-AT (Triple-Wavelength) simultaneously measures three color values in liquids directly within the process. Using triple-wavelength technology, it delivers stable, reproducible measurements while compensating for process fluctuations. This enables reliable inline color monitoring and early detection of quality deviations without sampling.

Common Applications

Wastewater Treatment

The MoniSpec-C-AT measures light absorption at three different wavelengths to determine the color of liquids directly in the process. Its optical system combines a gas-filled full-spectrum lamp with three detectors of different sensitivities to ensure accurate and reliable color measurement.

Detector 1 measures absorption caused by turbidity and the first color component. Detector 2 measures absorption from turbidity and the second color component, while Detector 3 serves as the reference channel and measures turbidity only. By comparing all three detector signals, the system calculates precise and stable color values independent of process fluctuations.

The MoniSpec-C-AT uses a triple-wavelength absorption measurement principle, enabling simultaneous measurement at three different wavelengths for highly accurate and reliable color analysis.

Its measuring range extends from 0–0.1 AU to 0–5 AU. The system automatically compensates for turbidity, window fouling and lamp ageing, ensuring low maintenance requirements, long service life and stable measurement performance. An optional cleaning nozzle is available for automatic cleaning of the measuring cell.

The measuring cell is manufactured from 1.4404 (316L) stainless steel and features a sapphire optical window. Standard seals are made from FKM, while alternative materials are available on request. The sensor can also be configured for ATEX Zone I and Zone II applications, allowing it to be adapted to demanding industrial environments.
